Jacquart & Associés Distribution, Champagne Jacquart's distributor, has appointed a replacement managing director.

Laurent Reinteau, 39 years old and who was formerly European director for Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, replaces Jean-Marc Pottiez, who left the position in February.

Details of why Pottiez left the company, or where he has gone to, were not immediately available.

Reinteau, who will also join the Alliance Champagne group through the appointment, is expected to take up his position next month. Jacquart & Associés Distribution (JAD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alliance Champagne.

Based in Reims, JAD has exclusive global distribution for Champagne Jacquart and other associated brands made under licence. Champagne Jacquart accounts for 22% of all Champagnes marketed by JAD.

Alliance Champagne, Champagne Jacquart and JAD will be moving to new headquarters in the Boulevard Lundy in Reims in September, the company added.
