Bordeaux's Château Fleur Haut Gaussens has released a 100% Cabernet Franc wine. Château Fleur Haut Gaussens La Bergeronnette, which is available world-wide, carries a 2016 vintage.

Grapes for the wine are sourced from a two-hectare plot of Cabernet Franc. Around 30% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for five months. The rest is in stainless steel.

La Bergeronnette is Château Fleur Haut Gaussens owner Hervé Lhuillier's second single varietal wine, following the launch of Château Fleur Haut Gaussens Malbec.

The new wine is named after a bird - la bergeronnette (white wagtail) - that visits the Cabernet Franc vineyard.

Privately-owned Château Fleur Haut Gaussens is handled by Berry Bros & Rudd in the UK.
