Cerveceria Chile saw its domestic market share leap last month, according to recent figures. In a report from AC Nielsen, the brewer saw its share rise by 21% year-on-year in August to 13.1%.

Included in the company's portfolio are Becker, Baltica and Paceña. While Becker saw its market share rise from 4.9% in August last year to 5.8%, Baltica experienced a climb from 5.5% in August 2004 to 6.8% last month.

Cerveceria Chile, a subsidiary of InBev, gained a 20.8% market share in supermarkets in August, compared to a 17% share in the supermarket distribution channel a year earlier. The company's share in the convenience store and liquor store distribution chain rose to 12.9% from 11.8%.
