Igor Boyadjian, who only shifted to cover Asia Pacific for Edrington at the end of last year, will assume the mantle set to be vacated by Scott McCroskie later this month. McCroskie, who has been MD of The Macallan since early-2015, becomes Edrington's new CEO in the coming days.

Prior to joining the company in 2017, initially as MD for Global Travel Retail operations, Boyadjian spent around ten years as co-owner of Edrington's joint venture in the Middle East with FIX.

"I am delighted to welcome Igor as the new MD of The Macallan," said McCroskie. "He brings valuable international experience to the role, having lived and worked in South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Igor's strong commercial background, entrepreneurial mind-set and deep understanding of prestige brands will ensure that The Macallan will continue to grow and prosper."

Boyadjian, who will also join Edrington's executive team, starts at The Macallan at the beginning of April.
