The Celsius range will now be available in Nebraska

Celsius Holdings has partnered with Anheuser-Busch's Eagle Distributing to increase the presence of its namesake fat-burning soft drink brand in the US.

The company, formed in the US in 2004, said late yesterday that Eagle will distribute Celsius in Nebraska. Retailers set to stock the five-flavour range include Hy-Vee and Fareway.

“As we work to expand availability for the Celsius brand, we are careful to select strategic partners like Eagle Distributing in order to reach health-conscious consumers,” said president & CEO Gerry David. “With proven success in the Nebraska market, we are proud to work with Eagle to bring our products to … retailers … across the state.”

The Celsius range comprises sparkling orange, sparkling wild berry, sparking cola, raspberry acai green tea and peach mango green tea.

According to the company, Celsius has "thermogenic properties", thermogenics being substances that speed up metabolism as well as heart rate and breath rate. Subsequently, the drink burns fat as fuel to increase metabolism.
