The company takes over sales, distribution and marketing for The Remarkable Regional Malts range from Douglas Laing & Co – including Big Peat, Scallywag, Timorous Beastie and Rock Oyster whiskies – from 5 May. A month later, super-premium Guatemalan rum Botran joins the Cellar Trends ranks, along with the Thomas Henry range of premium mixers, including tonic, ginger ale and bitter lemon, and premium Danish beer Kolson’s.

"We believe we are entering a very exciting period of growth that will see our business diversify," said Cellar Trends sales & marketing director Terry Barker. "With additional announcements expected later on this year, we hope the second and third quarters of 2015 will see huge growth and development."

Barker admitted that 2014 had been "challenging" for the business, with Patrón Tequila, Jägermeister and Bodegas Campillo all moving to new distributors in the UK.
