Central European Distribution Corp, the US-based drinks group, is eyeing expansion in Poland, according to reports in the local press.

CEDC plans include a possible purchase of leading vodka maker Polmos Bialystok.
 
Local daily newspaper Puls Biznesu reported that CEDC is also thinking of listing its shares on the Warsaw bourse next year.

The report quoted CEDC chief executive William Carey saying: "Next year we are planning to enlarge our group by another three or four companies, which should boost our revenue by US$100m."
 
Carey indicated that the company was interested in the planned privatisation of Polmos Bialystok.

CEDC is the leading vodka distribution group in Poland, comprising 14 spirits distributors. Its total revenues are seen reaching as much as US$553m this year.
