Cecchetti Racke has hired two sales directors to join its US sales force. Scott Burleson joins as sales director south-east and Chris Berry sales director north-east of the company.

Berry and Burleson will report to Erik Ran, senior VP of sales, the company said yesterday (4 February).

"We are pleased to welcome both Chris and Scott to Cecchetti Racke and we are confident they will be instrumental in rapidly growing our brands in their respective regions," said co-president Roy Cecchetti. "Their efforts will directly impact our company's mission to become a leading premium brand owner and importer of trusted quality wines from high profile and up-and-coming wine growing regions around the world."

Burleson joins Cecchetti Racke from Delicato Family Vineyards based in California, where he was national account manager. He has also held senior positions with Allied Domecq and Signature Brands.

Berry joins the company with over 14 years in the wine industry where she held positions with companies such as Chalone Wine Group and Constellation. Most recently, Berry held the position of east coast regional manager with the North-West Core Collection, where she managed 11 Pacific north-west wineries in nine states.

Cecchetti Racke was recently formed in a merger between Cecchetti Wine Company of Sonoma and Racke USA, a subsidiary of Germany-based Racke International,

Cecchetti Racke combined all elements of their current operations into the single entity and has projected annual sales of US$8.4m from around 140,000 cases of wine in 2009.
