Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling has expanded its snack food profile in Greece. The soft drinks company has announced today that it has bought local potato chip maker Tsakiris for €6.2m (US$7.75m) in cash.

Tsakiris is the second-largest potato chip brand in Greece with 10% of the country's market share. Despite annual revenue of around €6m, the brand has not been profitable in recent times.

CCHBC acquired the brand from Plias, which itself is owned by CCHBC's major shareholder, the Cypriot Leventis Group.
