Coca-Cola Hellenic (CCHBC) has appointed from within the Coca-Cola system to fill the newly-created position of deputy CFO.

The Greece-based Coca-Cola bottler said yesterday (22 October) that Robert Murray, general manager for Coca-Cola Amatil in Switzerland since 2006, will work alongside current CFO Nik Jhangiani.

This appointment will enable Jhangiani to "assume broader strategic responsibilities in addition to his current CFO role, related to exploring new opportunities that create a solid source of long-term growth for CCHBC", the company said.

Having entered the Coca-Cola system in 1987, Murray has moved from his original position of controller of operations at The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York, to join CCA in Vienna in 1997 as business planning manager for Europe and then vending manager. He was appointed general manager for CCA in Hungary in 2001.

"We are delighted to announce these organisational changes which demonstrate Hellenic's strong focus on facilitating the growth of talent within the business," said CCHBC's managing director, Doros Constantinou.

"His [Murray's] appointment enables Nik to focus more on leveraging Coca-Cola Hellenic's unique strengths to pursue long-term strategic growth opportunities."
