C&C Group said its Tennent's Lager sales grew because of the new fount

The customisable founts, which carry a range of different sleeves, will be available across the Scottish on-premise by the end of the year, C&C said today. The group said it had invested "millions" in the scheme, without giving further details.

In a trial of 150 outlets, a 4.4% average uplift in Tennent's Lager sales was recorded. The trial compared figures from the 12-week period before and after installation.

"The stand out and visibility of our new fount is exceptional and we are delighted how well it is performing across the licensed trade," said Alan Hay, on-trade sales director at Tennent's, said. "It's been great to hear the positive feedback from both customers and consumers on how much of a talking point it's become in bar and how instantly recognisable the founts are for the brand."

Last year, C&C Group joined a growing number of brewers to launch a gluten-free version of its lager brands in the UK with the Gluten Free T.
