The Mendoza wine company, Catena Zapata, has entered into a joint venture with the Austrian sparkling wine group, Schlumberger, to produce sparkling wines. The wines are to be produced at Agrelo in Argentina and then shipped to Austria for second fermentation and bottling under the Robert Schlumberger brand, according to reports.

Catena Zapata already has a joint venture in operation with the French fine wine company, Chateau Lafite.
