Carlsberg's Polish subsidiary, Carlsberg Okocim SA, reported sales of 3.6m hls of beer in 2001, representing a 7% drop in its share of the Polish market.

It now has around 15% of the market. Carlsberg Okocim's operations include breweries in Okocim, Kasztelan, Bosman and Piast.

The decline in turnover was attributed to soft sales of Bosman and Piast, whilst Okocim sales rose by 9% in 2001. The Polish beer market as a whole was more or less flat in 2001 and stands at around 24m hls.
