Two investment companies have initiated coverage on Carlsberg Breweries.

Moody's Investors Service has assigned the brewer a 'Baa3' (stable outlook) rating, while Fitch Ratings has started Carlsberg at 'BBB-' (stable outlook).

"Carlsberg Breweries is pleased with these investment grade ratings, which are seen as an acknowledgement of current robust business strategy," Carlsberg's CFO, Jørn P. Jensen, said today (23 January). "The investment grade ratings reflect that Carlsberg Breweries has a good credit quality and a strong business profile within the global brewing industry."
