The Danish brewer, Carlsberg, has confirmed that it has between DKr10 billion and DKr15 billion to spend on acquisitions but said that it would not be looking to invest all that in one single deal.

According to an article in the Danish newspaper, Berlingske Tidende, the company's chairman, Povl Krogsgaard-Larsen, also said that the group had considered recently bidding for Italian and Austrian breweries but had decided they were too expensive.
