Carslberg has become an ICAP sponsor

Carlsberg has become an International Center for Alcohol Policies (ICAP) sponsor company, the US-based think tank announced today (8 June).

Carlsberg joins drinks firms including Anheuser-Busch InBev, Beam Inc, Diageo, Heineken, and SABMiller at the global non-profit organisation, which promotes responsible drinking. “We are engaged in a number of initiatives to promote responsible drinking and reduce alcohol misuse,” said Carlsberg senior VP of Communications & CSR Anne-Marie Skov.

“Carlsberg is looking forward to collaborating with ICAP as part of our company’s efforts to address harmful drinking worldwide,” she said.

In October, ICAP will host an international conference on initiatives to reduce harmful drinking.

“We welcome Carlsberg as one of our sponsor companies at a significant time for major alcohol producers, as we continue our work to support the WHO Global Strategy to Reduce the Harmful Use of Alcohol,” said ICAP president Marcus Grant.
