Mott's Inc., a subsidiary of Cadbury-Schweppes PLC, has agreed to acquire US-based Carteret Packaging Inc. for $14.8m.

In a press release issued by Cadbury Schweppes, the acquisition is designed to improve logistics for its North American beverage business. Carteret Packaging bottles Snapple products and currently employs 150 people.

Cadbury Schweppes acquired Snapple beverages in September for a reported $1.45 billion.
