The Coca-Cola Co has hired South Korean pop group BTS to front a Coca-Cola activation in Asia.
BTS, a seven-member boyband with success in Asia and the US, provide the soundtrack for the 'Turn Up Your Rhythm' ad released last month. The 60-second spot first rolled out in Indonesia and will move to other Asia-Pacific markets throughout this year.
"This film takes a look at how dull or idle moments in your day can be transformed into memorable and uplifting ones by reaching for an icy-cold Coke," said The Coca-Cola Co's head of global creative strategy & content, Pratik Thakar.
Meanwhile, in China, soft drinks manufactures have launched a number of Chinese New Year campaigns for what is the country's biggest consumption occasion of the year. This year, Coca-Cola has released a four-minute spot that shows three young people navigating the holiday season one year on from a coronavirus-disrupted celebration.
'CNY Confessions' launched at the end of last month.
