Brown-Forman has followed the release 12 months ago of the first batch of BenRiach Cask Strength with the release of batch two. The new iteration comprises liquid distilled in 2006, 2007 and 2008 that has been aged in Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry casks and virgin oak hogsheads.

"Cask Strength Batch 2 is BenRiach in its most unadulterated state," said master blender Rachel Barrie. "At cask strength 60.6%, the drinker can taste straight from the vat, without chill-filtration, water or colour addition.

"BenRiach Cask Strength Batch 2 is for those who want to experiment with whisky taste and explore for themselves."

Brown-Forman acquired BenRiach's parent company, The BenRiach Distillery Co, in mid-2016.
