Alex Alvarez, who succeeds Jane Morreau, will take over on 1 February, Brown-Forman said yesterday (18 December). Alvarez currently serves as GM of operations at Tequila brand Casa Herradura in Jalisco, Mexico, and oversees the Sonoma-Cutrer wine operations in California.

He joined Brown-Forman in 2007 as director of production operations at Brown-Forman's Louisville site in Kentucky.

Morreau was appointed CFO last month. She takes over in February from Don Berg, who held his final conference call with analysts this month in the wake of Brown-Forman's first-half results.
