Britvic has signed a transport agreement with UK logistics firm Eddie Stobart Ltd (ESL).

The deal is the first time the UK soft drinks maker has undertaken such a "sizeable" transport arrangement with a single provider, ESL said today (5 October).

The three-year "multi-million pound" contract will see ESL provide transport for all of Britvic's primary manufacturing and distribution activities in the UK. The logistics firm will also undertake both deliveries into the company's UK manufacturing facilities and customer deliveries from several Britvic distribution centres across the country.

Stobart Group CEO, Andrew Tinkler, said: "We're extremely pleased to have this opportunity to build upon our long-term partnership with Britvic. Stobart Group can help Britvic meet, and even exceed, its carbon reduction targets."
