The proposed alliance between three major Scandinavian brewers, Danish Bryggerigruppen, Norwegian Borg Bryggerier Holding and Swedish Spendrup Invest, is to go ahead following successful negotiations between the three parties, it has been reported. The three-way collaboration will have operations in both beer and soft drinks.
The three brewers, all of which are the second largest players in their respective markets, will jointly buy a 94% stake in Hansa Borg Bryggerier ASA, Norway's second largest brewer, and will form a new joint venture company under the name NewCo. The total investment in the project totals some DKR 450m ($53.6m)

NewCo will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danish Hansa Borg Skandinavisk Holding A/S. In turn, Bryggerigruppen will have a 25% stake in Hansa Borg Skandinavisk Holding, while Borg Bryggerier will have a 60% stake and Spendrup will own 15%.
