Brewers SABMiller and Heineken are thought to be close to making another proposal to acquire the Latin American business Bavaria.

A report in the Financial Times this week said the two international brewers had been asked to renew their interest in Grupo Empresarial Bavaria.

The UK newspaper said that SABMiller and Heineken are both keen to secure Bavaria but they have grown increasingly frustrated with the seller since the auction kicked off a year ago.
