Romanian brewery, Brau Union Romania, part of the Austrian brewing group, Oesterreichische Brau Beteiligungs AG (OBB), has said it forecasts sales of 4.5 million hls in 2002 against 2001's total of 3.9 hls.

The 15% increase would boost Brau Union Romania's share of the 11.5 million hl Romanian beer market to around 37.5%. The brewer's portfolio includes the Kaiser, Schlossgold, Silva, Ciuc, Golden Brau and Bucegi brands as well as the recently introduced Gosser label. The company also owns six regional beers: Arbema, Zarand, Harghita, Hategana, Malbera and Regun.
