La Brasserie de St Omer has invested €2m in two new packaging lines for its pack formats.

The new facilities will enable the northern France-based brewer to double the rate at which its beers are packaged.

Present in the low price segment, La Brasserie de St Omer is France's leading producer of retailers' own brands beers and also produces specialty beers.

Last year, the company had an output of 750m bottles. It expects this to rise to 800m bottles this year. It posted a turnover of €99m in 2004.
