Bouvet-Ladubay is set to invest heavily in increasing its production capacity.

The French sparkling wines producer, which is owned by India's United Breweries, confirmed to just-drinks today (13 November) that it will spend in the region of EUR10m (US$14.6m) to double its capacity. Bouvet-Ladubay will use the increased capacity, projected to reach around 8m bottles per year within the next five years, to focus on exports going forward.

Speaking to the Indian press this week, the president of Bouvet-Ladubay, Patrice Monmousseau, said that the company will raise the funds from banks in France, rather than seek the money from the UB Group.

Monmousseau also said that Bouvet-Ladubay will target a 75% lift in exports over the next five years.
