The Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB) has extended for a second year its sponsorship of late-night summer parties hosted in London Zoo.

The trade body said today (14 May) it will feature its own wine bar at Zoo Lates, which will run every Friday in June and July. The event includes street performers, food stalls and the chance to see some of London Zoo's animals after dark.

CIVB's bar will serve a selection of wines, and guests will have the chance to learn from wine educators at Bordeaux tastings. The body first sponsored Zoo Lates last year.

According to a report from the CIVB in March, the size of the wine harvest in Bordeaux last year fell by 27% on 2012.
