The maker of Singha Beer is to open a North American office to help drive double digit growth in exports, the Bangkok Post has reported.

Boonrawd Brewery will set up its first overseas office in Canada. It will be in charge of marketing and logistics for importing the beer.

Executive vice president and director Chutinant Bhirombhakdia said: "America is a sophisticated beer market. If successful, our business model will be applied in other countries."

The company already sells to a number of foreign markets, with overseas sales accounting for between 3% and 4% of total sales.
