Calgary-based Big Rock Brewery has launched a single-hop IPA, created at its Vancouver site.

The company opened the Vancouver brewery in April to drive craft innovation and produce beers that it said its Calgary brewhouse "wasn't necessarily designed to do".

Citradelic, which uses Citra hops, is the first beer from the new site. It has an IBU of 60.

Big Rock also said it would open another brewery in Etobicoke, Ontario this year.

In November, the company said the launch of the Vancouver brewery and restaurant as well as increased costs had hit its YTD performance.
