Big Rock Brewery Ltd has appointed Ken Barbet as the new president of Big Rock effective October 1, 2005. Barbet is the former president and CEO of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation. He replaces Bob King who has served as Big Rock's president for the past six years.

Barbet has an extensive career in sales and marketing in the food, pharmaceutical and liquor industries.

King will remain with Big Rock in an advisory and consulting capacity.
