Beverage Network of Maryland has signed an agreement to distribute Rudy Revolution in the Baltimore - Washington, DC market.

The subsidiary of Global Beverage Solutions said yesterday (31 May), that the deal will give the company exclusive distribution rights for Rudy Revolution for the entire state of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Arlington, Fairfax, Loudon, Stafford and Prince William.

Global Beverage CEO Jerry Pearring said: "We are excited to be launching Rudy Revolution in the Baltimore-Washington, DC market this summer.

"Given our history and ongoing relationship with Rudy Brands, Inc. we will go the extra mile to grow distribution and sales for the Rudy Revolution brand."

Rudy Beverage president Drew Carver added: "In addition to Beverage Network of Maryland we are being distributed by a Budweiser Distributor in Buffalo and a Miller/Coors Distributor in Boston. All three distributors will initially focus on positioning Rudy Revolution in the many independent/bodega accounts."

Last month, Global Beverage Solutions sold a majority stake in Rudy Beverage, selling its 80% stake in the soft drinks company to Rudy Partners for US$6m. The funds took the form of a secured promissory note, while the deal includes provisions that "will improve Global Beverage's balance sheet should Rudy Partners, Ltd. becomes a publicly-traded company or the subsidiary of a publicly-traded company," Global said. Should Rudy Partners go public, Global will own 20% of the new entity.
