Berry Bros & Rudd Spirits is handing over US distribution of The Glenrothes Single Malt Whisky to Anchor Distilling Company (ADC), after a 12-year partnership with Campari America.

The move means that, from 1 May, ADC will handle all US distribution for the UK-based wine and spirit merchants. The partnership began in August 2010, when the UK firm acquired a significant minority stake in the San Francisco-based company.

The Glenrothes has been distributed in the US by Campari America since 1999.

Jeremy Parsons, chief executive of Berry Bros & Rudd Spirits, said: “We are very grateful for the many years of close co-operation and the success we have enjoyed working with Campari America and would like to thank them for all of their hard work on The Glenrothes Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

“However, we believe it is the right time to align our super premium spirits portfolio and are confident that we will see benefits both to The Glenrothes and to our other brands.”
