Foster's wine company, Beringer Blass Wine Estates has agreed an exclusive partnership with English cricket for its Wolf Blass range of wines to become the "Official Wine of the Test Match Grounds".

The four-year venture has been entered into with a view to increase brand awareness and provide sampling opportunities to relevant consumers, the company said.

Wolf Blass will receive advertising at all seven test match grounds throughout the summer, including the Ashes Test Series against Australia.  In addition the wines will be listed at all of the grounds, with Wolf Blass enjoying exclusive on-site sampling and promotional opportunities.

The cricket campaign will be strongly supported by a high profile marketing and PR campaign, which will include sampling and promotions in supermarkets and other high street retailers.

Rufus Weston, Wolf Blass brand manager, said:  "The Wolf Blass cricket sponsorship is a major investment for us and we see it very much as a long-term partnership. With an audience profile so suited to a premium wine brand like ours, English cricket is a perfect partner for Wolf Blass. The strong media profile that cricket is enjoying at the moment, coupled with the forthcoming Ashes series, will provide us with an excellent platform to continue our profile building. We will be working with all our accounts to ensure that we make the most our partnership with English cricket and introduce as many new customers as possible to our premium wines."
