The Irish brewer Beamish & Crawford is to assume responsibility for the management, sales, distribution and marketing of the Scottish & Newcastle brand portfolio in Northern Ireland. Beamish & Crawford has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of S&N since 1995. The deal covers both the on- and off-trade, and will come into effect from 29th July, 2002. The Group's business will be transacted through a newly created subsidiary of Scottish & Newcastle plc, Beamish & Crawford (NI) Limited.
