Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. is to launch a limited edition 1994 bottling of its leading Islay single malt Scotch whisky Laphroaig.

The special edition, to be bottled at cask strength, has been created to mark the 2006 Feis Ile - The Islay Festival of Malt and Music, which takes place from 27 May to 4 June.

The 1994 bottling also marks John Campbell's recent appointment as distillery manager and his twelfth year with the company. The whisky will be selected from barrels laid down in 1994.

It will be sold through Laphroaig's website and at the distillery during the festival, priced at GBP50.00 (US$94) for a 70cl bottle.
