In February, Beam Suntory reported a healthy rise in full-year sales for 2015. The group said increased consumer demand for Bourbon was the main driver behind the 23% top-line jump on the year-prior.

Booker Noe always said "if you ain't thinking big, you ain't thinking." Inspired by this love of experimentation, Booker's® Bourbon is proud to release Booker's Rye "Big Time Batch," the brand's first-ever rye whiskey. Barreled as a small batch late in founding distiller Booker Noe's life, Booker's Rye features a unique, never-before-released rye mash bill and is bottled uncut and unfiltered for robust flavor, just the way Booker liked it. As one of Booker's greatest and final experiments, Booker's Rye is an extremely rare, limited edition offering, about half the size of Booker's 25th Anniversary Bourbon.

Booker Noe was known for his innovative thinking, big personality and, most of all, his big-flavored bourbon. He spent his days experimenting at the distillery, tinkering with different grain mixtures, and was always intrigued by the challenge that the temperamental rye grain posed. Never one to back down from a challenge, he went big in 2003 and laid down a limited number of barrels of a rye whiskey, creating the first ever Booker's Rye. When you take one sip of this whiskey, you'll agree that it is "Big Time" all the way.

TASTING NOTES

Made from some of the last rye barrels Booker Noe ever laid down, Booker's Rye is made from a unique never-before-released rye mash bill. True to Booker's Bourbon standards, it is bottled uncut at its natural proof and full of spicy, robust flavor. It was selected with the following characteristics:

PROOF: 136.2

AGE: 13 years, 1 month, 12 days

BATCH NOTES: Booker's Rye is culled from barrels aged in Booker Noe's favorite rack houses. It has an intense flavor profile with pronounced, well-balanced notes of wood and oak from the longer aging process. The deep amber liquid offers a complex aroma with spicy notes from the rye in the mash bill.

SIPPING SUGGESTIONS: This uncut rye has a spicy and robust flavor, but is not overpowering. It can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

HISTORY

Booker's Bourbon is one of the only bourbons available today that is bottled uncut at its natural proof, yielding an intense flavor and nose that is one-of-a-kind. Taking barrels found in the center-cut of the rack house, Booker bottled the bourbon straight-from-the-barrel creating Booker's Bourbon, a true barrel bourbon. Today, Fred Noe personally tastes and selects every barrel of Booker's Bourbon before it is bottled to ensure that it matches Booker's personal preference for a robust and full-bodied whiskey. In addition to the limited release of Booker's Rye, the brand continues to introduce new batches of bourbon in the Booker's Bourbon 2016 Batch Collection.

Booker's Rye is available nationwide beginning in late-May in extremely limited quantities with an SRP of $299.99 for a 750ml bottle.
