Beam Suntory has announced the global release of a specially-designed bottle for its Hibiki Japanese Harmony blended whisky in the run-up to the festive period.

The new bottle, which has been launched to mark the 30th anniversary of the Hibiki brand, has been inspired by a traditional kimono pattern, the company said earlier this week. It is decorated with the tabane-noshi, a Japanese symbol of celebration, with several noshi bundled together to make the design, symbolising shared happiness with others.

"Since the brand was first established, Hibiki has been a representation of Japanese art and design," said Takahiro Itoga, senior global brand director at Beam Suntory. "This specially-designed bottle honours that spirit, utilising traditional Japanese symbols to create a design representing both celebration and shared happiness."

The limited edition bottle will be available globally, and launches in the UK next Monday (8 October), with a suggested retail price of GBP100 (US$115).
