Bath Ales is rolling out two of its beer brands in bottles after signing a UK distribution deal.

The West Country brewer said today (10 June) the agreement with Bibendum will see its Silvertip and Monocle beers become available to the distributor's on-trade customers and independent wine and beer shops. It is the first time Bath Ales has bottled Silvertip or Monocle since the beers were first brewed last year.

Previously the beers were only available on draught at selected pubs in the UK's South West.

Silvertip and Monocle are products of Bath Ales' Beerd Brewery, launched last year to allow experiments with new styles of beer.

“Beerd beers have proved very popular regionally and we feel that Beerd could go very far in the UK market,” a Bath Ales spokesperson said.

Last month, Australian wine group Rathbone agreed its own deal with Bibendum to have its wines distributed in the UK.
