Russia's largest brewer Baltika is to brew and market Foster's for the Russian market.

"The Russian beer market has experienced rapid growth over the last five years and international brands are the fastest growing segment of the Russian market," John Nicholson, S&N chairman Greater Europe/USA, said in a statement.

Baltika is owned by Baltic Beverage Holdings, itself a joint venture between Carlsberg and Scottish & Newcastle.

S&N already brews and sells Foster's in a number of European markets.
