Bacardi's CEO retired in April

Bacardi has appointed a new regional president for Asia Pacific after the incumbent announced his decision to step down.

The company said today (27 June) that Jon Grey will assume the position immediately. Grey replaces Siddik Tetík, who “recently announced” his departure, Bacardi said.

Tetík, 55, will “take on special projects over the next several months in order to help with a smooth transition”, Bacardi added. A spokesperson told just-drinks the company does not know where Tetík will go next.

Grey, 52, was previously president of Middle East & Africa (MEA), a position that will now be filled by Bacardi's MD for south Asia & South-East Asia, Mahesh Madhavan.

“These internal appointments showcase the seasoned leadership currently within Bacardi and further demonstrate the company’s ability to nurture and grow talented leaders,” said Michael Dolan, interim CEO of Bacardi.

Bacardi is continuing its search for a permanent replacement for Ed Shirley, who announced his retirement in April.
