Dewar's is on US screens for the first time in five years

Bacardi has released a TV advertising campaign in the US for its Dewar's blended Scotch, the first time the brand has appeared on screen since 2007.

The ad features Dewar's White Label and Dewar's 12-year-old and premièred on cable neworks on Tuesday (30 October), the company said. The ad is also available on Dewar's social-media sites.

A print campaign will run in national and regional publications with slogans such as “Serious is not always easy, but it comes with serious benefits”. The 30-second TV spot, which can be viewed below, targets younger Scotch whisky consumers, Dewar's said.

In May last year, Bacardi released a television advert for its Grey Goose vodka brand in the US.
