On Monday evening at Harpers' 2002 Christmas party this year's England vs Australia sporting battle reached a dramatic conclusion after a close-fought battle. England had taken first blood with an emphatic (1 point) win in the rugby. Australia had replied with a narrow victory in the cricket. Now at the Hyatt Carlton Hotel in Kensington the tournament would be decided with a third and final event - car simulator racing. At stake, national sporting pride for the winner and a year's worth of ribbing for the loser. After this night, pub banter would never be the same again.
