Asahi has lined up an addition to its St Stefanus Belgian abbey beer brand, starting in the UK. St Stefanus Blanche is a wheat beer that has been produced with coriander and orange peel in the brew. Details were not immediately available about plans for the extension beyond the UK.

The new expression will be produced at the St Stefanus brewery in Ghent, Belgium.

Asahi inherited St Stefanus when it acquired a raft of European beer brands from SABMiller, prior to the takeover of the latter by Anheuser-Busch InBev.
