Embotelladoras Arca is mulling the possibility of exporting Coca-Cola to the US. The Mexican Coke bottler is hoping to make the most of the growing Hispanic population in the country.

In a statement issued on Monday (30 May), Arca's CEO, Francisco Garza, said that the company is discussing the possibility of beginning exports with the US soft drinks bottler Coca-Cola.

Arca's sales currently stand at 417m boxes of bottles per year, of which cola accounts for 67%. The company holds a leading marketing position in the northern area of Mexico, which is expected to be an advantage for a possible expansion into the US.
