The majority shareholders of Embotelladoras Arca have sold 3% of the Mexican soft drink bottler's outstanding shares, to boost the number of shares in public circulation.

In a filing with the Mexican stock exchange, the company said the sale met a requirement to have at least 12% of the company's capital in public hands.

Shareholders sold 24.2m shares, the filing said.
