Heineken is looking to release its Slovak beer brand Zlaty Bazant in Russia. The Dutch brewer announced the launch on Friday (10 February).

The beer will be brewed at Heineken's brewery in St. Petersburg. Zlaty Bazant will be initially available in St Petersburg and Moscow.

"We believe this beer will occupy a key position in Heineken's Russian brand portfolio," the company's president for Russia, Roland Pirmez, said.

Late last year, Heineken unveiled a lower-calorie and low-carb variant of Amstel for the Russian market.
