The beer will be brewed at Heineken's brewery in St. Petersburg. Zlaty Bazant will be initially available in St Petersburg and Moscow.

"We believe this beer will occupy a key position in Heineken's Russian brand portfolio," the company's president for Russia, Roland Pirmez, said.

Late last year, Heineken unveiled a lower-calorie and low-carb variant of Amstel for the Russian market.
