The world's largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch (A-B) has said it will start selling its flagship beer brand in Russia, one of the world's fastest-growing beer markets, under the Bud brandmark, according to reports in the Wall Street Journal.

A-B had stopped the sale of the beer in Russia under the name of Budweiser in the mid-1990s as part of its on-going legal dispute over the brand with Czech Republic-based Budejovicky Budvar AS.

Anheuser said it will initially market Bud imported from the U.S. in Moscow and St. Petersburg only, in "upscale bars and restaurants with American or international themes, and in select supermarkets," the Journal said.
