Beer 2017 has been barrel-aged for 12 months in ex-white Burgundy and brandy casks. The beer was brewed using Nelson Sauvin, a New Zealand hop that has an aromatic affinity with the Sauvignon Blanc grape.

"We launched our 'Year Beer' series back in 2013 and since then have commemorated each year with an extra special barrel-aged edition that challenges perceptions of what a lager can be," said Jasper Cuppaidge, founder & CEO of Camden Town Brewery.

The release, described as a "double strength imperial pilsner", is limited to 900 50cl bottles. The product is available via Camden Town Brewery venues and

Anheuser-Busch InBev completed its acquisition of Camden Town Brewery at the start of 2016, in a deal worth about GBP85m.
