A-B InBev has agreed to acquire the Ohio distributor

Anheuser-Busch InBev has agreed a deal to acquire Ohio-based wholesaler C&G Distributing for an undisclosed sum.

The two companies, who announced the deal last week, said they expectthe transaction to close in the "near future". Family-owned C&G has been selling A-B InBev products in nine counties in west central Ohio since 1967. 

Kevin Feehan, Anheuser-Busch’s regional sales VP said: "We look forward to growing our brands and enhancing competition in this market, which will benefit west-central Ohio retailers and consumers.”  

Last week, the brewer was hit with a lawsuit from a New York distributor over claims it had breached state alcohol laws by assigning new products to a rival distributor
