Anheuser-Busch InBev has declined to comment on reports suggesting the pending launch of four new Bud Light products, including a Bud Light seltzer.

US trade publications Beer Marketer's Insights and Beer Business Daily said this week A-B InBev is to launch Bud Light Seltzer and Bud Light Super Crisp, a lower-calorie, lower-carb light lager. Revealing the plans in a talk with its US distributors, A-B InBev also reportedly said it is lining up a Bud Light Lemonade.

Beer Business Daily, meanwhile, reported that Bud Light Nitro is in the pipeline.

When contacted by just-drinks, however, an A-B InBev spokesperson declined to comment on the reports. A statement from the company said: "We have the industry's leading portfolio because we are never satisfied. We regularly share conceptual ideas with our wholesaler partners as we develop new ways to meet consumer needs. Details on new product launches will be shared in due course."

If the reports are confirmed, Bud Light Seltzer would be A-B InBev's third seltzer release or relaunch this year. In January, the company relaunched Bon & Viv's Hard Seltzer in time for a Super Bowl ad, while last month it rolled out the 6%-abv Natural Light Seltzer.

Seltzers have caught on among younger legal-age consumers in the US in the past year. Mark Anthony Brands' White Claw has grabbed market share and media attention, while The Boston Beer Co's Truly hard seltzer has propped up the brewer's underperforming beer brands.
